    The “Godfather” of off-road racing, Sal Fish, will join The Legends Rally as our honorary legend for the upcoming Legends Rally Sea to Sky.   Mr. Fish was CEO/President of SCORE-International for over 40 years, building off-road racing from an obscure form of motorsport into a global culture.

    Sal started his entrepreneurial career in desert racing in 1973 when the late Mickey Thompson, founder of SCORE International, recruited him. Sal brought innovation to SCORE, organizing class rules, implementing safety procedures, and transforming the Baja 1000 into one of the most recognized motorsports events in the world today.

    The September 2019 Sea to Sky Legends Rally will be a mixture of our Lazo de Bosque de Piños (Part 1 & Part 2) and Lazo de Playa trips.  Click here to read about the last Sea to Sky trip.

    MORE INFORMATION ON THE RIDE:

    Day 1 of the ride will begin at Horsepower Ranch, just outside Ensenada. After breakfast we will hit the trails just a couple miles from this famous off-road ranch. As we rally our way east past Ojos Negros we will traverse some of the most iconic and heavily raced roads in Baja. On the list of is the infamous Goat Trail, a steep granite grade known for danger during the many off-road races that pass through it. Lunch will just a bit further south at Valle de Trinidad. After lunch we will head into the Sierra San Pedro Martir Mountains and stop at Mike's Sky Ranch for a quick break. Day 1 will conclude with and an amazing dinner by Deckman and accommodations at the rustic Rancho Meling. A good 30 miles from the closest town, walk ten steps out from your room and look up to see some of the most beautiful nighttime skies in Baja.

    Day 2 will take us out of the mountains and down to the beach. The descent out of the higher elevations near Rancho Meling is filled with water crossings, rocky trails and abundant native wildlife. Once we hit the Pacific Ocean there will be sandy beaches stretching for miles. This is always a great place to open up our UTVs and have some fun. Accommodations will be in Colonet for the night.


    On day 3, we will head north along the beach again before turning east into the mountains south of Ensenada.  Lunch will be served at the beautiful MD Vinos with an opportunity to taste some of the best local Baja wines. Then we will make one last push towards Horsepower Ranch but not before stopping at El Tule to soak in the sunset. This old rancho and vineyard operates the same way it has for over 100 years and has views that overlook the city of Ensenada. Legends Rally Sea to Sky will finally conclude back at Horsepower Ranch for one more dinner by Deckman and drinks in the cantina.
